Farm Dreamin'

While I've been reading Healing our Children, Rhett has been reading You Can Farm by our local meat provider, Joel Salatin of Polyface Farms. He's loving it. We've decided to turn our backyard into a huge garden. Rhett and Seth have started working on our compost and setting up plots for veggies. I've been researching online tonight about getting chickens - looks like it's illegal in our area. Ugh. We figure it's probably better to start small with the farming dream - see how self-sufficient we can be in our own backyard before we go any bigger.

The chores have been so good for Seth. He loves helping dad outside.

How fun! THere's nothing like fresh veggies from your own back yard. :)

Hey Meg! I'm so happy to hear about Seth. You guys have tried so hard and deserve some great news!!! If you want help with the garden, we've got a huge one in our backyard too. Playdate soon?? PLEASE!?

We got some good stuff out of our tiny little garden last summer. The kids loved doing it.
