Tunnel play for spatial awareness
We just got Seth this tunnel from Ikea. His therapists have been working with him for a while to get him to play with one. At first he was terrified of it. Then they were able to get him to put his arm in it to get a toy. Rhett and I saw it at Ikea this past weekend and thought it would be good to have at the house. We got him to crawl through the tunnel! We couldn't believe it. It's so good for him and his spatial awareness. It's also good for him to crawl on his hands and knees - it works the corpus colosseum. (making the left and right brain work together). Dr. Gennaro said his corpus colosseum is very weak, so we're really happy that he's able to crawl like that!
