We've officially told the school system that Seth will not be attending preschool this year. We just don't feel good about it. I haven't felt good about it since our service coordinator mentioned it at Seth's evaluation back in March. All of Seth's therapy drops when he turns 3 and he can go to school. He's making so much progress right now that we don't want to mess with anything. We're going to pick up his occupational therapist and speech therapist privately (donations welcome!). We don't think he's ready to leave home yet, even if it's only part-time. I will be officially starting a homeschool program with him. Nothing formal at all. We're going to have "school" in the morning while Ella is napping. Rhett and I plan on heading to Ikea soon and getting some "gear" - shelves, table, chair, etc. I'm also going to try and make more of an effort to get him around more kids. It's usually very overwhelming for him to have friends over at the house, so I think we will try going to parks and playgrounds first. Well, I've been busy reading up on all of my Montessori material - back to research!

Yay! I think that's the best choice for him. Check out the La Paz Home Learning blog (link on my blog). She does Montessori stuff and has great ideas on her blog. Also, you might want to contact Cindy at Apple Stars (link is also on my blog - they are both under Homeschool Blogs). She has two autistic kids and has great ideas. She's LDS, too :)
