We settle on August 24th. Holy Bajoley. We found it last Friday, put an offer on it, and they accepted a couple hours later. Just like that. The dream begins. It was built in 1930. 4 bedrooms. 25 acres of pasture and woods. It's on top of a hill and extremely private. Tons and tons of character and potential. Lots of craftsman-style woodwork inside. There's a lot of work that needs to be done before we can move in, but nothing too bad. It's about 20-25 minutes away from mom and Scott's house in Schuyler. I went to the library today and checked out a ton of farmhouse decorating books to start getting ideas. I can't count how many times Rhett and I have looked at each other this week in disbelief that it's really happening. Rhett's like a little boy coming downstairs to a new bike on Christmas morning. He's already been talking about getting out there to plan out the fields.
Seriously, can't you just imagine that house at Christmastime?
