The End of Overeating by Dr. David Kessler

Ohhh Rhetty....I found what I want for Mother's Day!

This new book looks great. He says that our brains have been hijacked by the food industry. We're addicted to fat and sugar. Most American's are powerless to food. It's time to start looking at that twinkie bar like we look at cigarettes....a horrible, addictive, and life-threatening habit.

Okay I totally AGREE!!! I have thought that for some time about the food industry but he worded it so much better. I kept saying when I eat junk I feel like I don't have my agency. wow you will have to share if Rhetty follows through = )

Interesting... last week I decided I was sick of cooking real meals for my kids for lunch and fixing a snack, too, every day so I opted for convenience food only. We were STARVING. All week. And eating more food than we ordinarily do. And we still wanted/needed more. Guess what I went back to doing this week... (and we are feeling much better for it).
