-- The Healthiest Foods on Earth at Forbes.com
"The only thing these diets have in common is that they're all based on whole foods with minimum processing. Nuts, berries, beans, raw milk, grass-fed meat. Whole, real, unprocessed food is almost always healthy, regardless of how many grams of carbs, protein or fat it contains.
All these healthy diets have in common the fact that they are absent foods with bar codes. They are also extremely low in sugar. In fact, the number of modern or ancient societies known for health and longevity that have consumed a diet high in sugar would be ... let's see ... zero."

"Last year a very interesting study was published...They showed that the closer a pregnant mother lived to a field or farm where they were using pesticides, the higher the risk her child would develop autism"

The Farm Boy
We just got back from Minnesota (yes, pictures are coming). Autism really smacked us in the face while we were there. Being around other people (especially other kids) always seems to remind us of how different Seth is. After a long last day there (but some amazingly comforting words from my father in law) we boarded the plane. I sat down in my seat and looked over at the woman across the isle. She had the book, The Horse Boy, in her lap. Fate? Yeah, I think so. We chatted on and off the whole plane ride. She works with autistic kids in St. Paul, and said that she could tell Seth was autistic before we even talked. We talked about all of the alternative treatments that we're doing with Seth. She wholeheartedly agrees with all of it. She said it's all about breaking patterns in their energy fields. We talked about the book, The Horse Boy. I haven't read it yet, but it's in my never-ending cart on Amazon. The dad who wrote the book noticed that their autistic son would start talking when he was around their neighbor's horse. So the family packed up and went to Mongolia to be with the horses. I told her how we are about to leave it all behind and move to a farm because Seth walks outside of his autism cloud when he's outside doing hard work. Farming has been our ultimate goal, but we're starting now for Seth. He needs to be connected with nature, around animals, working hard. She said that we should write a book too, and call it The Farm Boy. Hmmmm....
