Another great DAN! (defeat autism now) appointment today. Seth has finally warmed up to Dr. Gennaro and our appointments go much smoother. His internal organs have healed a ton. He's down to only 3 organs (adrenals, lower intestines, and liver) that are weak. Last visit there were 10 that were weak. That's a lot of healing in a couple months. She did some muscle testing and said that he has a virus that is affecting his brain. She couldn't quite figure out what virus it was, so she put him on a general homeopathic virus remedy. Other than that, he's on the same line-up.
Probiotics
Cod Liver Oil
Cellular Defense (homeopathic heavy metal detox)
Adrenal Support mineral supplement
Stress Relief mineral supplement
ParaCleanse homeopathic spray
Fear & Phobia homeopathic spray
MMR homeopathic pill
Corpus Colosseum homeopathic pill
Pleo Fort homeopathic drops
Enzymes at every meal/snack
Basic Nutrients multi-vitamin
Protocol Pak
We finished 10 minutes before Seth's appointment was over and Dr. G asked if I wanted to get tested. I opted to have her do some muscle testing on Ella instead. For the last little while, Ella has turned pretty fussy. She's sleeping worse and worse. I can't put her down for anything. Very unlike her. I've been wondering if she's allergic to something I'm eating. Long story short, Dr. G said it wasn't food, but it was chemicals that are bothering her. Rhett and I were so puzzled as to what chemicals would be getting in her system. She's our all-natural baby. We're chemical-free around here (or so I thought), so I just couldn't figure it out. I've been lazy with my cloth diapering lately, so I thought maybe it was chemicals in disposable diapers. Dr. G tested for that....nothing. She asked if we were using disposable baby wipes. Yep. That's the ONE thing that I never parted with. My one little mainstream sin. She tested for the baby wipes and said that is what's bothering Ella. Her baby wipes are leaching enough chemicals into her body to make her fussy, anxious, and sleep poorly. Can you believe that?! She said to stop using those wipes and just make some homemade ones. (Flannel scraps and a spray bottle of water is all you need)
As soon as I got home I started researching the ingredients in Target brand baby wipes. Yikes.
Propylene Glycol , Tocopheryl Acetate, Polysorbate 20 , Disodium EDTA , 2-BROMO-2- NITROPROPANE-1,3-DIOL, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate . Also contains: PEG’s and fragrance
Do you know what that is? I certainly don't. I found out from Safemama.com that the target brand wipes are in the top 3 worst baby wipes to use (chemical-wise). Safemama baby wipes report It got me thinking that maybe these are the chemicals that are bothering Seth as well. Needless to say, all of our wipes are in the trash.
Long story short, DON'T use Target brand baby wipes. I'll be getting to the store to buy some flannel fabric for wipes and a couple spray bottles for water. I don't know why my kids are so sensitive to the chemicals and pesticides in the world, but they are. Maybe to teach me a lesson. I certainly have learned a lot from them.

OMG - thank God for docs like Dr. Gennaro. They always figure it out.
I made my own wipes occasionally. Didn't take much time to make them, either. :-)
Seth is on a lot of stuff. Glad it's helping! I've always just used baby washcloths with water as cloth wipes.
This is really fascinating stuff Megan. Thanks for the info. We (luckily) are out of the diaper phase, but we know we'll back in soon with grand-babies. (No, that's not an announcement. ;-) ) I'm glad things are going well with Seth. Granger is doing much better also. And Elizabeth is loving teaching at the school for ASD children. Thanks again.
