which led me to this thought provoking site that compares two families....a consumer-centered family and a family working towards self-sufficiency. Really has me thinking about some changes to make around here.
I was planning on a homemade Christmas this year. But, once we started getting all those fun holiday catalogs I started to think that maybe I would buy just a *few* things. Nevermind. Recycling the catalogs and staying away from stores.

Sounds good to me! Almost everything we're giving is homemade. A Tot Book for a niece, everything but the books for the kids, calendars for most people with a picture a month of the kids, etc. I've been doing homemade Christmases for years and love it! I love creating things and giving those creations away is just a bonus.
BTW, I may be starting a toymaking RS enrichment group in my ward. You're welcome to join us if it does get off the ground or I can share with you what we've made.
